This is the kind of situation that makes you shake your head and ask one simple question—what was the plan here?

According to scanner reports around 2:55PM, law enforcement units became involved in a multi-county pursuit involving a driver who refused to stop. What started as a typical chase quickly turned into something far more dangerous.

Units reported the vehicle traveling along Route 11 and Route 12, moving through areas of Onondaga and into Oswego County. Speeds ranged anywhere from 50 to over 80 miles per hour, with traffic described as light.

Officers deployed tire deflation devices—commonly known as stop sticks—multiple times in an effort to bring the situation under control. At first, it appeared those efforts were working.

Then it got worse.

Scanner traffic indicated the vehicle began losing tires one by one. At one point, units reported the front right tire had completely come off. Moments later, another update came across the airwaves—there were no front tires left at all.

And still, the driver kept going.

Dispatch could be heard stating the vehicle was continuing southbound, now riding directly on rims. Sparks, damage, and loss of control become serious risks at that point, not just for the driver but for anyone else on the road.

Despite the escalating danger, the pursuit continued as officers coordinated across multiple jurisdictions, attempting to safely end the chase without putting the public at further risk.

Radio traffic also indicated repeated deployments of stop sticks along County Routes 10 and 9, as well as continued attempts to box the vehicle in and slow it down.

Even after severe mechanical failure, the suspect vehicle continued moving, with one unit stating plainly: the car had no front tires and was still attempting to flee.

That’s not just reckless—that’s a situation that could have turned deadly in seconds.

At this time, official confirmation on the identity of the driver, possible charges, or final outcome has not yet been released.

What is clear is this—this wasn’t just someone trying to get away. This was someone willing to push a vehicle past the point of destruction while putting everyone around them at risk.
