Let’s not sugarcoat this.

After Part 1 dropped, the messages didn’t slow down — they picked up.

TVOTT Hillbilly News has now received multiple additional statements from students and a parent, all pointing toward the same concern: bullying inside West Canada Valley isn’t just happening — it’s being overlooked.

One student told us they were bullied not only by other students, but felt like staff didn’t step in when it mattered. According to the statement, when issues were reported, it felt like the situation was “turned back on them instead of being addressed.”

Another student described something even heavier — repeated harassment, being told to harm themselves, and threats that were reported but allegedly brushed off as “just high school drama.”

That same student claims a threat involving potential violence was reported, but no immediate action was taken at the time.

Now add this into the mix.

A parent reached out saying the problem goes beyond bullying — claiming racism is becoming part of the issue, including racial slurs being used openly and written in school bathrooms.

The parent said they felt they had no choice but to contact other parents directly because, in their words, “nothing is really being done.”

The District Responds

We did what we always do — we reached out.

The West Canada Valley Central School District responded, stating they do not comment on confidential student matters, and that they follow policies to investigate all reports of bullying, harassment, and misconduct.

They also made it clear they believe it is “100% inaccurate” to say they do not respond to concerns.

And to be fair — there are laws that limit what schools can publicly say.

But here’s where things stand…

On one side, the district says procedures are being followed.
On the other side, students and parents are saying they’re not being heard.

Let’s Be Real About It

This isn’t just a “school problem.”

  • Schools have a responsibility to protect students
  • Parents have a responsibility for how their kids behave
  • And students themselves play a role in what kind of environment they create

You can’t fix this by pointing fingers at just one side.

But you also can’t ignore it when multiple people keep telling the same kind of story.

This Isn’t Over

We’re not here to run one story and disappear.

If more people keep coming forward…
we’re going to keep reporting.

We will continue to:

  • Share what’s being sent to us
  • Reach out for official responses
  • And follow this wherever it leads

Because silence is how problems stick around.

And right now — people aren’t staying silent anymore.
