ROME, N.Y. — Turns out this “No Kings” protest ain’t just somethin’ happening in New York City or out in California… it landed right here in the Mohawk Valley.
On Saturday, March 28, 2026, multiple rallies popped up across the region—including in Rome, Utica, Herkimer, and even smaller towns like Hamilton. Some folks stood roadside waving signs, others gathered in groups with speakers and music, but the message was the same: people are fired up.
In Rome, demonstrators lined up near Fort Stanwix in a “honk and wave” style rally, catching attention from passing drivers. Over in Utica, a larger crowd gathered outside the state office building on Genesee Street, with speakers and a more organized setup.
Herkimer held its own rally along East Albany Street—reportedly not even their first—while Hamilton hosted a smaller gathering on the Village Green, showing this wasn’t just a one-town deal.
Now here’s the part folks really gotta think about…
This wasn’t random.
Across the country, thousands of these “No Kings” protests were planned for the same day, hitting over 3,000 locations nationwide. And yeah, that includes small towns—not just big cities.
So whether you agree with it or not, one thing’s clear:
👉 This ain’t just noise from far away anymore
👉 It’s showing up right here in our backyard
And around here? People got opinions.
Some folks support it, say it’s about protecting democracy.
Others say it’s overblown, political theater, or just more division.
But either way—you can’t ignore it now.
