UTICA, NY — Talk about a short-lived taste of freedom.

According to the Herkimer County Sheriff’s Office, a Utica man identified as Dylan Felter was taken into custody on April 21, 2026, following the execution of a probation violation warrant.

Authorities say deputies, working alongside the Herkimer County Probation Department, picked Felter up right after he was released from the Onondaga County Jail. No time wasted—straight from one set of bars to another.

After the arrest, Felter was transported to the Herkimer County Correctional Facility, where he is currently being held pending arraignment in Herkimer County Court.

The charge stems from an alleged violation of probation conditions, though further details surrounding the violation have not yet been released.

As always, all individuals are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
